Woodson energy storage
Woodson Energy Storage is a 300-megawatt & 1,200-megawatt-hour Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project that will bring sustainable, renewable energy to support the local grid. This project will be located in Oakland County, Michigan on approximately 15 acres of privately owned land.
Adding energy storage to the electrical grid allows extra power to be stored when demand is low, which is then used when demand for energy increases. Woodson Energy Storage will therefore help to reduce or avoid price spikes and supply shortfalls.
This project could be operational as soon as 2029 with the potential to provide taxpayers, school districts, hospitals, and the local government with reliable economic benefits for years to come.
A STRONGER ECONOMY IN Oakland county
Woodson Energy Storage will bring in millions of dollars to the local community over the life of the project. The project will generate a new source of revenue that supports the most essential elements of the community, including schools, infrastructure, and local government.
